Meet Charlie, one of our newest residents at the Mikey & Me Kennels in Chelsea for Happy Days Rescue. Charlie is a mixed breed (maybe Plott Hound), he has a beautifully brindled chocolate brown/black coat, he weighs just 30-35 pounds and he’s only 5 months old. Charlie is a very sweet boy, he loves meeting new people and giving them hugs, he’s good with other dogs, and he walks nicely on leash.

Charlie has his first Vet appt. scheduled for October 30th in Dexter where he will be microchipped, have a wellness exam, receive any vaccinations and boosters needed, and his neuter surgery will be scheduled for another date, most likely in November.

HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.​
