Penelope is a beautiful kitty with a very sweet disposition. She is a little shy at first, but as she warms up to you, you will soon find out that she loves to be pet and will give you the cutest little headbutts while you are petting her! She has stolen the hearts of everyone that has gotten the pleasure to meet her, and warms up to new people very quickly when her humans are around! She is a very easy going and low maintenance kitty, who loves to sleep during the day and get pets at night when her human gets home from work. She loves to sit on the windowsill and watch the world go by, and oftentimes enjoys a little bit of playtime in the evenings! She got along well with both other cats and a small dog in her previous foster home, and I think she would do best living in a quieter home that will give her the time and patience to come out of her shell and show off her wonderful personality. HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.​
