Other Pictures of Missy-ADOPTED (click to see larger version):Meet Missy! Missy is a super sweet senior lady. She came to HDDCR after her elderly owner died. Her first week she was quite subdued and withdrawn, likely grieving the loss of her former owner and all the sudden changes she experienced. But now her true personality is coming out and she is a happy-go-lucky laid back little girl that loves to eat! Her plump belly is proof she doesn’t miss any meals. She eats her food like a lady and takes treats gently. She is often the first one to greet visitors to the home. Missy resides with several other dogs in the foster home and gets along with them all, although she doesn’t care much for routy dogs. She generally doesn't like to be outside long, but on nice days she likes to hang out with her foster mom as she does outdoor clean-up. Missy is housebroken and usually looks at you or stands by the door to let you know she wants to go out. She has no trouble letting your know she wants in as she scratches on the door until you open it. She is crated trained and sleeps through the night without incident.
Missy is dealing with a skin issue right now as a result of allergies and lack of proper care. Her fur is sparse on her ears, back, and around her eyes. She looks a little rough right now because of it, but is on an antibiotic to address any secondary infection that may be contributing to the hair loss. Even so, the patchiness of her coat hasn’t affected her happy self and her tail wags like crazy and she has a spring in her step as she becomes more comfortable with her people and surroundings. She is definitely people oriented.
