Other Pictures of Lil' Bit-ADOPTED (click to see larger version):Lil Bit is aptly named as she is a ‘little bit’ of sweetness. This senior sweetheart is one of several dogs confiscated from a hoarding situation in a rural Ohio community. Whatever her former living situation was, it has not affected her gentle demeanor. Lil Bit is low key, quiet, and pretty much snoozes her day away. She seems to enjoy being held and cuddled. She has few teeth left so her tongue sticks out a little bit. She has a favor blanket which she snuggles in. Lil Bit does have congestive heart failure and is on three medications daily for the remainder of her life. She also is blind from what is believed to have been untreated glaucoma. Unfortunately, due to the congestive heart failure, surgery to remove the eyes or spay her is not recommended at this time, as the concern is she might not survive being under anesthesia. L il' Bit appears to be housetrained and keeps her crate clean, day and night. Her foster mom nic-named her Dora the Explorer because s he is curious about her surroundings and likes to check out the environment inside and outside. She then finds her way back to her favor blanket and bed where she feels safest. Lil Bit needs a special family willing to accept her as she is and love and care for her for as many days as she has left on this earth. If you aren’t able to adopt her, please consider making a small donation for her ongoing medical needs or those of other special needs animals in our care. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for $19.99 fee to change information. Dogs and Cat still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
