Pugsley is about 10 yrs old and weighs 20 lbs.  He is just such a sweet boy and very low key. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. Pugsley loves to be with his people, is good in the car and on walks, although he pulls on the lead a bit. He is housebroken and does very well in a crate.  

Pugsley does not produce tears though, and does need prescription eye drops twice a day, and perhaps additional drops from time to time.  Due to this he will be more prone to eye infections, and may need additional treatment if/when that happens. The cost for the twice a day drops (he will need them for the rest of his life) is about $70 and we think this will last about 2 months. He is such a good boy, he takes his drops well, and then will just sit and wait for his treat, and you just can’t refuse when looking at that sweet face looking up at you!  Due to this, and perhaps lack of care in the past, we think he has some vision loss, not enough to slow him down though, but something to be aware of. He is also not good with stairs, so will need a home where there are no steps, or will need to be carried up and down them. We have 3 steps to our back door, and we have to pick him up to take him down them.  he will on occasion go up them, but for the most part will need assistance.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for $19.99 fee to change information.  Dogs and Cat still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
