Description:
Hi, my name is Paul and I came to this great State of Michigan via Ohio. Mind is a wee bit sad, but is turning out better by the day.  My brother, Peter, and myself were outside and running around in this field when all of a sudden some man started shooting at us :(  We were not bothering anything, but what I heard someone say was that he was using us for target practice to better his shooting to kill deer, they are not hurting anything either if I may add. Well I got shot in my right shoulder and Paul being the great brother that he is, stayed with me and laid over me so I would not get hurt further.  Some nice people came and rescued us and took us to the vet.

After what seemed like ages my Foster Mom drove down to Ohio to pick me up and my brother, Peter, came to her 1 week earlier so I could have my surgery.  When I got to Michigan I had to have more surgery. I had to have my right shoulder and leg removed. My shoulder was just destroyed by the gunshot.

When I finally got to come home to my Foster Mom's home, I was in rather sad shape with drains and dressings.  But, I am happy to report, with lots of love and care, to say nothing of good food, would you like to know how much I like, roast, chicken, steak and of course the homemade Mac and Cheese.  My brother lives here with me and he likes the same food. We get dog food also, but it is mixed with some tasty human food.

I am up on my 3 legs getting around. I go outside like a good boy to go potty and I have even started getting out into the yard and sniffing around to see what is out here :-)   Oh, and to let you know I am neutered.  When they took off my leg and shoulder they also decided I did not need my family jewels, I never even noticed :-))

Hopefully I will be able to meet you soon! Is there any chance that someone would like to have me and my brother, Peter??  He is a grand brother to
have.  I am a Yellow Lab and Peter is a Chocolate Lab.  We are living together and I would really like to stay together.  Just a thought :-)

Sincerely,
Paul and of course Peter

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for $19.99 fee to change information.  Dogs and Cat still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
