Meet Rudy, our newest arrival at the Mikey & Me kennels in Chelsea for Happy Days Rescue.    Rudy was found as a stray with no microchip, collar, or other identifiers and he was not claimed during his Shelter hold time. He is a very nice boy, he absolutely loves meeting new people and will engage with them nicely. Rudy loves kids, balls, and taking long walks outside.   Rudy is a mixed breed, he has a beautiful, reddish coat, he currently weighs about 50 pounds, and he has long, lanky legs that he’s still growing into. Watching him chase a ball is hilarious because he can’t quite figure out where to put his legs and feet. 

Rudy will have his first vet appt. soon when he will receive all necessary vaccinations, be given a Heartworm test, physical exam, and scheduled for neuter surgery in the coming weeks.

HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter. ​
