Description:
Meet Tori!  Tori is thought to be a Doxie/Beagle/ Bully mix and weighs about 18 pounds. Tori is a sweet pup and wiggle-butt extraordinaire!  Although shy and skittish in new situations, she is incredibly trusting with those she is comfortable with.  She was very brave for her bath, and, after-the-fact, almost seemed happy to have had one!  Tori enjoys treats and takes them gently.  She has had no issues with the resident dog, so will likely do well with a canine companion after slow and proper introductions.  She forms a strong bond with her ‘people’ and is eager to please.  She is a real ‘Velcro dog’. She quickly learned the crate routine, and happily jumps in it to take a nap.  When no one is looking though, she might sneak onto the couch.  Tori has been quiet in the foster home, but foster mom is sure she has a ‘voice’ and will use it in her own time.  Tori is potty trained and has not had any potty accidents in the house but might submissively pee if scared.  With those she knows, she often flattens herself to the ground or rolls over on her back in a show of submission.  With those she doesn’t know, she keeps her distance.  It takes her a while to overcome her timidity with strangers.  She is learning to keep ‘four-on-the-floor’ and other basic commands.  One thing foster mom did notice is Tori’s fear of vehicles.  Even when coming close to a vehicle, she will try to run away from it.  We are slowing working on building her confidence around vehicles.  In the meantime, foster mom picks her up and puts her in her vehicle when needed.

It is obvious Tori has had many puppies as she has lost some of her 'girly' figure.  No more puppies for this sweetheart!  Tori is spayed and UTD on vaccines.  She will be microchipped before going to her adoptive home.

Whoever adopts this little girl will be a lucky family indeed!  The one requirement for Tori is a securely fenced yard.  Her first instinct is to bolt and run if frightened.  Also, a harness and collar clipped together would be necessary when taking her out.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
