Other Pictures of Georgia (click to see larger version):Meet Georgia, our newest arrival at the Mikey & Me kennels in Chelsea for Happy Days Rescue. Georgia is a survivor and she very much needs our help to find her forever home. Sadly, the woman who rescued and loved her passed away several months ago. Georgia is about nine years old, weighs about 45 pounds, and is a very loving and affectionate dog with many healthy years ahead of her. Georgia is potty trained, and she gets along with other dogs but doesn’t necessarily need a canine companion in the home. Inexplicably and with great sadness I must report that Georgia was hit in the head with a hammer by her first owner. As a result, she has a neurological condition where she sometimes has trouble keeping her balance and she is prone to having seizures but only if she isn’t given a phenobarbital tablet twice daily. With treatment, she doesn’t have these seizures and she really enjoys walking outside. Georgia has been spayed and she will have a complete physical exam soon along with updated vaccinations, a heart worm test, medication refill, etc. Please don’t let the condition I described above deter you from meeting Georgia, she is a wonderful dog and she very much needs to find her human companion. If you would like to meet Georgia, please submit an adoption application under her name at www.happydaysdogandcatrescue.org. Please help me get this sweet little girl into a new home where she can thrive again by sharing this post with your friends and family. Please, no negative comments about what’s happened in the past. I am only looking to the future and to help Georgia live a full and rewarding life. ❤️
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
