Description:

Willow is a purebred Havanese and will be 7 years old in December. Willow was purchased from a breeder and lived her entire life with her family from puppyhood until April 2022, when her original owners died unexpectedly. A relative then took Willow in and cared for her until she became ill herself and unable to properly care for Willow. Willow was subsequently surrendered to the rescue.

Willow is a good-natured dog that has lots of energy. She enjoys long walks and playing with toys. She knows some commands. She is a bit of a diva and wants all the attention. She follows her human everywhere - she is a true 'Velcro' dog. She probably would do best as an only dog, or with another submissive dog as she becomes bossy with other dogs that don't respect her "Diva" status! No cats, she loves to chase them too much. Willow is reportedly house-trained but has had a couple accidents since being in her foster home. It is unclear if that was due to separation anxiety or thunderstorms, which she is afraid of. Willow is a good watch dog and will let you know when someone comes to the home. Please consider this if you live in an apartment. Willow generally obeys well, but a strong human leader would help her in keeping her “diva” personality in check! No young children please.

Willow is in good health, UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
