This is Finn, one of our newest arrivals at the Mikey & Me kennels in Chelsea for Happy Days Rescue. Finn is a Lab/Mountain Cur mix, he’s 2 years old, and he weighs 41#. He’s a very sweet, quiet, and friendly dog.

When Finn first arrived, he was afraid of meeting new people, and he would cower to protect himself while we leashed him up for his walks. But over the last three months, Finn has worked very hard to regain his trust in people and he has been doing quite well with our 40+ person volunteer team. Finn has never snapped at anyone or done anything wrong, even when he was scared.

We took Finn to the Vet for all of his vaccinations, a physical exam, heart worm test, and he has been neutered. Finn is at a healthy weight for his size and he’s been eating well since his arrival. He loves riding in the car now and he becomes excited when he encounters another friendly dog.

Because of Finn’s fear of change, I am looking for someone who would like to start bonding with him out here and building his trust with the hope of adopting him once he’s feeling more confident and prepared to make the transition. We’ve seen other dogs come in just as afraid as he is and, based on those experiences, it’s just a matter of time until he will come around in a new home. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
