Miley is an adorable 5-6-month-old terrier mix.  She was brought into animal control as a stray and never claimed.  A plea went out for rescue on her behalf because she was on the euthanasia list. 

Miley is a sweet, sweet puppy, but blind.  She loves cuddles and pets, and is very food motivated.  She is eager to learn and is making excellent progress on potty training, navigating stairs, and generally just adapting to life as a blind dog.  She is crated trained, and sleeps through the night.  She may occasionally start to whimper or cry, but a quick reassurance from her foster mom and she quiets right down.  Miley does like to nibble on toys and sometimes your shirt or whatever is close to her. But this is purely innocent nibbling as she is losing her baby teeth.  Miley does not have a mean bone in her body.  She does very well in a car, settling down in her seat for the ride to wherever.   

Do not let her blindness be a reason not to adopt her!  Blind dogs can do everything dogs with sight can, except see with their eyes! Miley is UTD on vaccines and will be spayed and microchipped before adoption.

HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.​
