Other Pictures of Jazzy (click to see larger version):Hi I'm Jazzy and I am sweet as honey! In my heart, I'm an active girl but I know how to lay down and chill out. One of my favorite things to do is snuggle my foster family while they watch TV. I really like it when the kitties come snuggle up with me, too. I really like kitties and my manners are impeccable - I do not bark or chase them. I greet them with nose bonks and will give them a lick when they let me. I love kids, too, and I am a very good girl so I do not beg or steal their food. I know my size and am careful not to run into people or jump on them. I absolutely love to sleep with my humans at night. I am looking for a home where I will have lots of love and a safe place to rest at night. I will love you more than you can imagine!
Note from foster mom: Jazzy is settling in well in our chaotic home. She does exceptionally well with new situations and people, including children. Like all dogs, she'll need an introduction and supervision with animals and children, but I've seen all positive behaviors here. Her manners are impressive: she does not beg for food, she will not eat the cat food, she shares her food dish, she greets the resident pets respectfully, plays cooperatively, and she always indicates when she needs outside to potty. Jazzy is about 15 lbs overweight and we will begin working on getting her out for walks once her spay incision heals (she knows her harness and leash and she wants to go for walks but we need to keep her activity minimal while she heals). She initiates play with the resident dogs and is able to free-feed without gorging so I suspect her weight gain was likely related to her previous living conditions vs. a medical or chronic overeating scenario. The only thing I've seen make her truly unhappy is being crated - Jazzy really thrives with direct human interaction and positive reinforcement. I'd love to find Jazzy a home where she can find just the right balance of activity and relaxation, interaction and challenge. This sweet girl will transform just about any household!
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
