Meet Miles, one of our newest residents being fostered at the Mikey & Me kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Miles is a Pointer Mix, he’s just about one year old, and he weighs about 50 pounds. Miles is a very happy boy and he loves interacting with and getting attention from humans. He has a beautiful white coat with a very distinguishing, large black spot on his head. Miles walks on a leash very nicely and he is content even just getting a hug and a few pets on his back. Miles came to us with an upper respiratory infection and we have him on antibiotics to treat it. At first he wasn’t eating but now he loves mealtime so I think he’s feeling better. I’ll be taking Miles to the vet later this week for his shots and a microchip. He tested negative for Heartworm and will be provided with a monthly preventative while under our care. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
