Blossom has the sweetest temperament. She was picked up as a stray and was at Detroit Animal Control for a while stuck in the puppy room because of her size.  She did not do well in a small cramped environment for so long, but as soon as she was out her affectionate side really came through. She does great in car rides and her main motivator is affection. She loves women but is a bit fearful of men and people with short hair, so she can take a while to warm up. She doesn't know many tricks but she picks them up fast. She learned sit and shake the first day she was home with her new Foster. She knows sit, shake, and wait. She does great during baths and even getting her nails clipped. she is not food aggressive, and eats very slowly and delicately with her tail wagging like crazy. She doesn't like toys too much, but she does carry around stuffed toys in her mouth like they are a baby. She is still learning what toys are, and thinks receipts and dryer sheets are the perfect toy to carry around. She is crate trained and is working on getting potty trained. She will go outside and won't go in her crate, but is still having a few accidents if she is left unsupervised in the house. She has not met any cats yet but she does well with dogs of all sizes and older children. This girl is a massive cuddler and has a baby face so if you adopt her it will be like having a forever puppy. She loves playing and running around so she would do well with a family with older children or no children that is ready to give her a lot of play time.

Blossom is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.

HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.​
