Meet Kona! Kona is a 1 year old German Shepherd and is just sweet as can be! She absolutely loves people, especially kids, and loves being around her people at all times. She’ll make a point of following you around. She is a playful puppy who is great with other dogs as well as cats. Bonus! She knows basic commands such as sit and shake, and loves to play with her dog toys and balls. She is crate trained and sleeps in it at night, plus she is housebroken. 

Kona was locked in a barn the first several months of her life and possibly abused.  She shows a lot of distress when around men who have darker complexions. This is something her new owner has been working on to no avail and is why he has decided to rehome her. He himself has a darker skin tone and has found Kona absolutely terrified of him for the last few months and unwilling to engage. They do not want her to be miserable in her own home. Other than this particular issue, Kona is amazing! 

We are posting Kona on our website on behalf of her owner in hopes of finding a great home for her. Our standard adoption process will apply but as you can see, Kona has a reduced adoption fee. This is because whomever adopts her will be taking on the cost of spaying her and getting her UTD on vaccinations. This will be explained in further detail once an adopter is found.
