Description:
Attention all runners looking for a running companion AND/OR active families! Knight is going to make someone or some family a great adventure pup! He already walks (& runs!) well on leash, he plays well with other dogs (not sure about cats yet) and is reportedly great with kids. He stays calm in new environments, meets people well, and hogs the bed. Did I mention that he travels well in the car? He does! He seriously has it all. He is neutered, UTD on his vaccines, and his most recent check-up shows he is in EXCELLENT health! He is the perfect size at 40 lbs and approximately knee-height when standing on all 4s. He is always game for tug of war, chewing bones, or wrestling with his foster sister. He just tackled the playground slide and went down without a hitch! He is about 95% potty trained (the occasional accident is mostly due to us- not him!). He will need a person/family dedicated to reinforcing what he has already learned and taking him to the next level of obedience. He needs some impulse control work when stimulated by other dogs and wildlife, but that seems pretty typical behavior for a younger dog- especially a lab mix. He is definitely a bird dog! Also, BONUS, he is a major lover! He naps like a champ and could compete with the best cuddlers out there- he is snuggly! Please only apply if you are an active person/family and will take this pup on all your adventures because that is the life he deserves!
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
