I should add that India is also a cuddle bug and loves to be near her person, she is a wonderful companion and is calm in the house just not if she hasn't had any exercise as with any young pup and intelligent breed they need to burn their energy to continue being a well rounded and behaved companion. India also loves children but is energetic so a little bigger than a toddler would probably be best. India is highly active and will require a very active person or family. she cannot be in an apartment since she does bark and cries when left alone, she does settle down and is not destructive in her crate. India would prefer a fenced yard and another playful dog. she will otherwise prefer a runner/hiker/jogger, she needs to burn her energy in order to be calm inside, she would also make a great agility dog. Please look up the breeds she is mixed with before making a decision to adopt. She is a great pup as long as she is given the proper exercise. As stated below she is very smart!!
Meet India, a young Cattle Dog mix. India is an energetic pup with a sweet disposition. She is also very intelligent. India loves to be involved in everything going on. She is the biggest cuddle bug and loves to snuggle, along with getting belly rubs. She loves to play, her favorite games are tug of war and fetch. She loves rope toys, balls, and any toy that squeaks. She can be strong-willed at times and is the kind of dog who will quickly fall into bad behavior if not managed correctly. She loves to run and enjoys long daily walks. India loves to play with other dogs. India is house trained, UTD on shots, microchipped and will be spayed soon.
HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.
