Baxter is being referred to as a “Pocket Beagle” and at two years old he weighs just 22 pounds and is full grown.  Baxter has a pleasant personality and he loves receiving attention from people. He’s great with kids and enjoys being around other dogs. Baxter rarely barks and he waits patiently for his turn to go outside. On walks, he is confident and seems very happy to be outside discovering the fields.  

Baxter tested negative for Heart worm and he is up to date on his shots. We had him microchipped this week and he has already been neutered. Baxter is on a monthly heart worm preventative and he gets monthly flea/tick prevention also. 

Baxter is carrying Lyme disease, which is transported by ticks. But he is symptom free and the Vet has opted not to do treatment at this time. If he shows any symptoms down the road (typically joint swelling, fever, not eating) an inexpensive treatment with antibiotics is almost always successful for treating Lyme disease.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
