Meeka had a rough life before she came to us. She came to us with fleas, her nails were so long they curled into her paws, she had hair missing, her teeth were rotting and she looked like she was used for breeding. Despite all of this Meeka is a sweet dog that loves everyone.  She is a Chihuahua mix that is 8 years old. She gives sweet little kisses and will sit on your lap or near you. She likes to sleep next to her person at night. She will greet you at the door with a wagging tail. She is crate trained but does not need to be crated. She is housebroken and will go outside or on a pad in the house. She is good with dogs of all sizes.  We have learned that Meeka has a heart murmur and will require medication and monitoring for the rest of her life, but she still has years of life left in her small body and has a normal Chihuahua life expectancy. Meeka has a zest for life!  She will run in excitement, loves short walks and has begun playing with toys. Meeka is looking for a special home where she can experience the care she has missed out on and the love that she gives abundantly returned. If you think that's you fill out an application. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a  $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee  to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
