Reggie is a one year old Lab/Shar Pei Mix and he’s very much in need of a home. He is up to date on all of his vaccines and he will be neutered in about two weeks after his immunity has built up. Reggie tested negative for heart worm and is on HeartGuard monthly as a preventative.

Reggie has “cherry eye” in his right eye but this will be corrected surgically while he is in for his neuter surgery.  Cherry eye, or prolapse of the gland of the third eyelid, is quite common in small dogs. The prolapsed gland itself rarely causes discomfort or damage to the eye, so the repair is mostly cosmetic. Most people choose to repair it, because it can have a very unpleasant appearance. There is minimal chance of recurrence.

Reggie hasn’t had much direction but he is eager to learn. He knows how to sit and he looks to us for direction. I think he will learn very well with consistency and directive from his new owner. He plays with my dog, Stanley, a Corgi/Terrier Mix.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
