Other Pictures of Mrs. Sassy (Pending adoption) (click to see larger version): Meet Mrs. Sassy. She is a retriever mix who is approximately 3 years old, 45 pounds and is an active girl.
This sweet girl was abandoned at a dollar store where she hung around for a few weeks, taking handouts and waiting for her family to return. Of course, they didn't. When Sassy finally got to a shelter, brought in by a couple who caught her, she was in terrible shape. Shelter staff took good care of Sassy and now she looks gorgeous. She has slightly wavy, coal black hair with brown markings.
Sassy is good with other dogs, plays nicely but if bullied she will stand up for herself. She loves stuffed animals, some will be destroyed others she will carry around like a good friend. Sassy does get a bit excited and may jump-we have been working on this, she has proven to be a quick learner and is getting better. Sassy loves to go on walks. She will sit on command at street corners, once released she will prance around with her tail wagging in the air and a little wiggle in her behind.
Sassy is crate and potty trained. She loves to be outside, she will sit for hours just watching the world go by. Because of Sassy's love of the outdoors I feel a back yard is a definite benefit.
Sassy would benefit from a active home or another dog to keep her busy. She plays for hours with my Husky, this keeps her out of mischief and happy.
Sassy is a pleasure to foster- would make a great addition to your family. She has not been cat tested.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
