Princess is a Flat-coat Retriever and she is approx one year of age. She is a very sweet girl and needs to find a very special forever home. She has a beautiful coat with long, wispy hair behind her front legs.

Sadly, Princess was abused and starved by her previous owner. When she arrived at the Mikey & Me kennels three days ago, she was scared to death and simply didn't know who to trust. It took me three days to be able to put a lead on her and take her outside.

But the good news is that she's responding very quickly. She now stands at her kennel door, tail wagging, waiting for me to take her out again. And where she wouldn't come near me three days ago, she now comes to me and rolls over on her back for belly rubs. She also enjoys laying down in the grass with me and she rests her head on mine.

She wants to trust and she loves interacting with people. I am working very hard to show her what her life is supposed to be and she has been receptive to my lead. Princess will need a patient and understanding owner who is willing to give her the time and direction she needs. I have introduced her to my dogs one at a time and she was nonreactive.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
