Other Pictures of Heidi-ADOPTED (click to see larger version):Heidi is brand new to HDDCR. She came all the way from a Kentucky shelter. Heidi is a very laid-back, polite dog that has a happy-go-lucky personality. She is very smart and likes to give you her paw. She is currently residing with several other dogs of various sizes and doing very well. She seems to like every dog she has met. While we don’t know Heidi’s whole backstory, we do know while she was in Kentucky she was treated for an open wound to her right hip . The wound has healed nicely and she does not appear to affect her anymore. However, she does have a weak hip due likely due to hip dysplasia or an arthritic condition as she is older. She is crated trained and already goes to her crate to relax and sleep. Heidi is estimated to be between 8 and 10 years old, but is fairly energetic and enjoys going outside to investigate her surroundings. She seems to prefer being indoors with family as she returns to the house very soon after ‘taking care of business.’ She does not know how to walk with a leash very well, not because she pulls, but rather because she hesitates or stops and won’t move. This could be due to discomfort in her hip. Heidi had her initial intake exam was found in pretty good health. She is UTD on shots and is spayed. Heidi is very quiet, has no food, person, or possession aggression, and takes treats very nicely. If you have any questions about Heidi please contact her foster mom at j-jarrett@att.net
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
