Piper is a gorgeous 1 year old German Shepherd. She is a very smart girl who just wants to be near her people. She does great with other dogs, but she would do fine as the only dog as well. She walks on the leash perfectly. She does seem to have a touch of separation anxiety, but we believe the right person could change that greatly. She has been a sweet heart to everyone she's met.

Sadly, Piper tested positive when she went to be spayed. Because of this her spay will be postponed until after her treatment is finished. The treatment for the heartworm will be covered by the rescue, but her new family will have to take her to the vet she's being treated with. Heartworm is fatal if not treated, so she needs a family who will be able to take her to her treatments.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for $19.99 fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
